HOW ARTS IN EDUCATION CAN HELP SAVE FRESNO’S ECONOMY

SPARK!, an initiative of Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, is dedicated to building a prosperous Fresno economy from within by developing career-ready graduates skilled in creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication through a more creative education.

The economic challenges faced by Fresno will never be solved by some unknown force with a miracle antidote for prosperity.

It's going to happen by everyone working within, by making sure we have the kind of workforce that helps energize our current businesses, inspires the creation of new ones and makes Fresno irresistible to 21st Century industries seeking to relocate.

Developing those workers starts now, by making sure every student in Fresno receives the caliber of education proven to produce the kind of creative thinkers in demand by every industry.

It doesn’t matter if you're a parent or not. What really matters is that we have the opportunity to set into motion a force for renewed prosperity exists now by making sure every school is providing an arts education.
